Columbia Lodge #85

Columbia Lodge No. 85 of the Improved Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks of the World was incorporated in 1906, and has been in its current building on 3rd Street NW since 1968. The Elks, some 3000 strong in the 1940’s, were well known for their parades. Much smaller now, and with an aging membership, they continue their works of charity, justice, and patriotism.  (May 2011)
